‘Medicine’ is a UK based festival which aims to help empower indigenous peoples preserve and protect their land, traditions and wisdom. It has wide international support and following; and the group is holding the first ‘Medicine Festival’ from 27 to 31 August 2020.
It was hoped that Isira may participate as one of the elite group if indigenous wisdom-holders that will be speaking and running sessions. But of course, the travel restrictions arising from the Covid 19 pandemic have prevented her participation.
After discussion with the festival organisers it was decided that a short video from Isira, expressing her support and goodwill for the festival would be a personal and meaningful contribution. This was filmed only a few days ago at a near Sydney bushland location Isira loves on the traditional lands of the Guringi people. We thought you may like to see it.
